FESTIVAL OF THE GOLDEN GATE KEEPS GETTING BETTER
Local vaudeville acrobatic wizards the Vau de Vire Society plan two days of high-flying awe-inspiring performance on and around Michael Christian's giant "Hypha" art installation. Other recent additions include San Francisco girl-go rockers PERSEPHONE's BEES, who join an already incredible lineup featuring JAMES BROWN, and BRIAN SETZER & THE NASHVILLAINS.

Sunday's main-stage lineup brings JAMES BROWN and his screaming 17-piece band to crown the inaugural festival, along with legendary New Orleans R&B pianist DR. All this will take place on the scenic Fort Mason Great Meadow, historic site of the much-loved San Francisco Blues Festival.
The festival's "HILLSIDE STAGE" hosts a full flight of emerging local artists each day. Saturday's lineup is anchored by local rocker SEAN HAYES, Seattle electronic drumming phenom K.J. SAWKA, local indie darlings PERSEPHONE's BEES and the roots-driven rock of SHANTYTOWN. Sunday features Latin-funk heir-apparent SALVADOR SANTANA, Ubiquity Records soul hurler NINO MOSCHELLA, and blues-rockers THE JEFF JOLLY BAND. Closing out the stage on Sunday will be an exclusive tribal electronica all-star ensemble forged by Mutaytor bandleader MATTY NASH, and featuring luminaries such as Oingo Boingo bassist JOHN AVILA.
