FoggFest takes place on the weekend of August 19-20 in the Marina district of San Francisco California. The closest airports to the site are SFO and Oakland. See the Festival site on a MAP FoggFest is located in the Marina district of San Francisco, walking distance from hotels in the Marina and Fisherman's Wharf. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO WALK OR BIKE TO THE EVENT. Bicycle Parking will be provided by the San Francisco Bike Coalition MUNI BUS Muni Lines To or Near Fort Mason Center: 10 Townsend, 22 Fillmore, 28 - 19th Avenue, 30 Stockton, 47 Van Ness, 49 Van Ness/Mission, 82x Presidio/Wharves Express. Download a Muni Map HERE. GOLDEN GATE TRANSIT (from Marin) The Golden Gate Transit #10 has a stop at the Fort Mason entrance. See the GGT schedules and maps HERE BART (from the East Bay or South Bay) Get off at EMBARCADERO STATION. Take Muni Bus #41 towards Union St & the Marina Get OFF AT VAN NESS AVE Take Muni Bus #49 to the Fort Mason Entrance (or walk for c.15 minutes towards the site (downhill) See the BART schedules and maps HERE LOCAL PARKING We strongly encourage yo uto use public transportation to come to the site. There is some parking available around the festival site, but most of it is several blocks or more distant. Also be prepared for the fact that this area is popular with tourists and others enjoying local daytime recreation. Try to arrive early to have the best chance of securing spots. If the lots on Marina are full, we suggest you either park in the Presidio (longer walk) or at the paid lots in Fisherman's Wharf (shorter walk) HANDICAP ACCESS People with Handicap plates or stickers will be provided with free onsite parking (SEE MAP BELOW). Enter Fort Mason site from Bay Street at the Franklin Gate. The first parking lot on your left is handicap parking. There will be a small box office gate where you can check in or purchase additional tickets. The grounds have a paved, wheelchair-friendly walkway throughout and there are handicap accessible portajohns as well as the main National Park bathrooms. There will be a handicap viewing area as well. Get directions at the handicap entrance. FoggFest takes place on the Fort Mason Great Meadow at corner of Laguna and Bay Street. VIEW MAP East Bay Bay Bridge to Fremont Street Exit; on Fremont (100 yards north) take first right on Howard; left on Embarcadero and go 2 miles; left on Bay and go 2 miles. Festival is at corner of Bay and Marina North Bay Golden Gate Bridge (US 101) to Marina Exit; Marina Boulevard (1.5 miles) Festival is at corner of Bay and Marina Peninsula/South Bay US 101 North to 9th Street Exit; 9th across Market and left on Hayes; right on Franklin; left on Bay; Festival is at corner of Bay and Marina   © Copyright 2006 All rights reserved.
